Spit Up and Tummy Aches

On Thursday, April 29, I took Trey to the doctor because I was worried about his spitting up and his tummy aches. Well let me just tell ya'll that my little man is not little anymore. He has gained 3 pounds in 3 weeks making him at almost TEN POUNDS!!!!! I was so excited. But, the doctor thinks I am feeding him too much and that's why he is spitting up and having a lot of tummy aches. He gave him a prescription of Zantac. So, far this is not working. And if my sweet little angel is hungry I will feed him. Anyways, we go back at the end of May for his 2 month check up!! Any of you moms out there with any advice please email me. Thanks!!

Trey 1 month

I can not believe my little angel is one month!! But, to me it seems that he was born about 3 months ago. He has really grown in the past month. His cheeks are fuller, he has gained weight and he is getting longer. I can't wait to see how much he weighs. If I had to guess right now I would guess he weighed about 9 lbs. He is starting to coo and make eye contact. I swear he is going to be a strong boy! He was holding his head up as soon as he entered the world!! I am not joking!! He loves belly time and he also loves to be on his back exploring the world around him. He loves the car but hates getting in his car seat. Today, he stayed awake the whole time in the car and he stared out the window for 30 mins. He usually sleeps in the car. He has had a lot of problem with gas. He will just start crying and moving his little legs. I can't stand to hear or see him cry but, I have gotten use to it. But, his daddy has not. It literally breaks Jimmy's heart and brings tears to his eyes when Trey is upset. He just started sleeping in his nursery 2 nights ago. So far he stays asleep just like he would in the bassinet in my room(up every 2 to 2.5 hrs, then up for about 45 mins to 1 hr., then back to sleep). I must admit and I know they say not to do this but Trey loves to sleep on his tummy. It seems to me that he rests better. Trey hates his baths. He will scream the entire time. I still have not given him his real bath yet. I will do that this week. I have been giving him sponge baths. I must admit that Trey makes the funniest noises. He is constantly making some type of noise. Even when he Sleeps. He will start laughing and smiling while sleeping and that is the sweetest thing ever!! Anyways, I will try to add more pics soon so ya'll can see how much he has changed in the past month.

Trey's 1st, 2nd and 3rd Doctors Appt.

Sorry I have not updated in a while, I have been a little BUSY!!! Trey had is first doctors appt on March 25,2010 with Dr. Khuari. He had jaundice, he weighed 5lbs.12 oz. and was 19.5 inches. Everything went great but we had to go back the following day because his levels were a little high. On his 2 week check up his jaundice was gone, he weighed drum roll please... 7lbs. 4oz.(that is what I weighed when I was born), and he was 19 3/4 inches tall. His belly button had still not fallen off(it has now) and his circumcision was healed!! We go back for his 2 month check up at the end of May(I am dreading this because of the shots)!! I love his doctor, he is really nice, caring and will take his time to answer my questions. I am not breastfeeding or pumping anymore. He was a strong sucker and I nor my breasts could handle it anymore. I was pumping for about 2 weeks and I would forget to pump so therefore my milk dried up! So, now he is on formula.

Introducing Jimmy Dolton Harville III "Trey"

Hello, as many of you already know Trey was born on March 22, 2010 at 9:41pm, weighing in at 6lbs. 5oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Here is his story. I went in to hospital on March 20 because my BP was very high. It was 160/115. I was monitored in Labor and Delivery and was kept over night because my liver enzymes were elevated which could lead to preclampsia. Saturday afternoon the MD said that since I was 39 weeks that we should start the process of labor. At about 1:35pm Sunday she broke my water. At about 6pm that night I was started on pitocin. Then Monday at 10:27am I finally got my epidural. As the day went on Trey did not like the pitocin and his heart rate started dropping so they stopped the pitocin and mentioned c-section. I started getting upset about having a c-section and eventually calmed down with the help of Jimmy, Jessica, and Mom. I was having horrible back labor and the epidural started wearing off. I pushed for 1 whole hour and finally my little bundle of joy arrived. My mother, Jessica and of course Jimmy were there to witness his arrival. I went home on Wednesday. We are doing great and we all are very excited that he is finally here. Here are some pics and I hope you all enjoy!!

I went to the doctor a little early this time because the doc was going to be too busy on Monday. I was still at 1 cm and 60% effaced. I gained 1 pound, my BP was 138/88 and his heart rate was 160. So no change just waiting and in a lot of pain!! I am ready!! I go back to the Doctor on March 18(Thursday). I am posting some pics of the nursery enjoy!!
